Campbellfield house on fire

A Campbellfield house was alight at 10.30am on Tuesday.

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) crews arrived to find the premises fully involved.

A total of 30 firefighters donned breathing apparatus and started an internal attack on the fire and to protect the surrounding buildings.

Safety procedure put in place due to asbestos being found on the premises.

The fire was declared under control 26 minutes later, and the cause of the fire will be investigated.

Both power and gas companies were on scene assisting.
