Volunteer expo a chance to help

The Hume Volunteer Expo on Saturday, April 27 is a chance to discover a whole world of volunteering opportunities in the one place.

At the Broadmeadows Town Hall on Dimboola Road, from 11am to 3pm, locals will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from various volunteering organisations and groups about what they do for the community, the benefits of volunteering, and the different ways you can get involved.

A garden guide volunteer urged everyone to give it a go and attend.

‘Volunteering is a wonderful way to give back to the community and also offers personal benefits. It has improved my mental health and confidence, helped me make new friends, and broadened my outlook on life. Even a small amount of time spent volunteering can have a positive impact on someone’s day,” they said.
