The Epping Football Club has announced the signing of Amanda Mowlam as the club’s inaugural senior women’s coach ahead of the 2024 season.

Mowlam joins the Blues as the club looks to field their first senior women’s football side in the NFL competition.

She spent time with multiple clubs as a player in the Victorian Women’s Football League and also played two senior women’s games with Reservoir in 2021.

Mowlam has also had experience as an NFL field umpire for many years.

Via social media the club said it is overjoyed to announce Mowlam to coach its women’s football team in 2024.

“Amanda joins us at EFNC with an impressive football career thus far. She played in the Victorian Women’s Football League for 9 years with North Heidelberg, Heidelberg and North Ballarat,” the club said.

“Amanda drew on her expertise and knowledge of the game as a field umpire for men’s, women’s and junior football for an astounding 16 years.

“It is safe to say Amanda has a tremendous amount to offer our girls and we are so excited to see all she is able to achieve in her new role as coach.”
