A number of pedestrians were almost hit by a car in Craigieburn earlier this month, according to police.
Police have been told a 34-years-old man had a verbal altercation with the driver of a car speeding in the carpark at Craigieburn Central on August 5, about 2.50pm.
The vehicle was then driven north onto Main Street and the man walked in the same direction.
Police said the vehicle stopped at a red light on Central Park Avenue before the driver ran the red light, mounted a curb and drove towards the man on the footpath.
The man jumped out of the way of the vehicle.
Police said the vehicle the was then driven south on Main Street, before the driver performed a U-turn and drove on to the footpath at a fast speed towards the man.
The man and other pedestrians on the footpath were forced to jump out of the way, police said.
No one was hit.
Police have released images of the vehicle believed to have been involved, described as a black Nissan X-trail.
