Thomastown Meadows Primary School preps are celebrating their 100th day of school by coming dressed as 100 year olds.
The preps spent the day with activities and games surrounding the number 100, and singing a 100 themed song to the rest of the school.
Principal Fiona Rosa and Assistant Principal Figen Mustafa said the kids have been loving the start to their schooling lives.
“They’re absolutely engaged, they’re thriving, engagement has been really high, this cohort of students’ level of skills and knowledge has been pleasing,” Ms Rosa said.
After 3 years of COVID affected prep students Ms Mustafa said these students have been evidently more prepared for school.
“They are also really loving learning and being onsite and engaging in face to face learning and so have the families,” she said.
“We have very strong family school partnerships and connections.
“It feels like we’re back on track.”
Both Ms Rosa and Ms Mustafa said they wanted to pay particular thanks to the foundation and support teachers who also immersed themselves in the celebrations by dressing up as well.
