Greenvale Kangaroos’ rebuild is starting to take shape with the Victorian Premier Cricket club announcing a number of new signings and their first re-signing.

After the departure of a number of key players in the off season, the Kangaroos new coaching staff have been busy behind the scenes.

Having signed Justin Galeotti as captain for the next three seasons, the club has now announced three more new signings.

Praveen Dilanka joins the club from Frankston Peninsula, where he was part of the club’s first XI.

He played eight games in the first XI last season.

Kalhan Sineth is another to join the Kangaroos.

“Kalhan is a former first-class player from Sri Lanka who more recently was a consistent leading wicket-taker in the Victorian Sub-District Cricket Association competition,” the club said .

Sineth took 35 wickets for Elsternwick in the VSDCA north-south competition last season.

Lachlan Roughley is another new signing announced by the Kangaroos.

“Lachlan is a talented All Rounder from the UTS North Sydney Cricket Club in NSW premier cricket who is currently plying his trade in the UK cricket season,” The Kangaroos said.

“Lachlan will be joining the Roos in September in preparation for the 2023-24 season.”

In the first re-signing announcement, Bernard Kelly is back on board.

Kelly has been at the Kangaroos since 2016-17, having played 97 games for the club across the first and second XIs and T20 matches.
