Detectives are investigating a hit-run collision in Roxburgh Park on Saturday, July 1.

Police have been told a black Volvo entered the Roxburgh Park bus terminal off Thomas Brunton Parade about 6.50pm.

Officers believe the car began to slow when a 16-year-old girl began to cross the road at the crossing.

It is alleged the car has then accelerated, hitting the girl.

The victim was allegedly knocked to the ground before the car fled the scene at speed.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
