Police are seeking for witnesses following a fire in Westmeadows on Saturday, May 13.

Emergency services responded to a suspicious fire on Grange Place at about 5.40am.

It’s believed that an offender attended the address in a white motor vehicle, believed to be a Ford Ranger, before pouring accelerant on a vehicle parked in the driveway.

It’s alleged the offender then placed a container of accelerant at the front door of the premises before igniting it, causing it to explode and the house catching fire.

The offender ran from the property igniting the accelerant on the vehicle, causing the vehicle to catch fire.

Both the vehicle and the house were significantly damaged.
