Police caught drink driving at airport

An off-duty police officer was caught allegedly drink driving at Melbourne Airport on Sunday afternoon.

The male who was a detective leading senior constable from the north-west metro region was intercepted at an alcohol and drug testing site about 3.45pm on June 11.

He initially tested positive to a breath test before undergoing an evidentiary test, where he returned an alleged reading of .107.

The 55-year-old’s vehicle has been impounded.

He is expected to be summoned to court for drink driving-related offences.
