Ranges, United and Hume through

Whittlesea United, Whittlesea Ranges and Hume City are all through to the next round of the Australia Cup competition.

The competition continued this week, with the majority of matches played this week.

United shocked National Premier League 2 side Bulleen Lions.

United hit the front in the 12 minute through Shifa Ahmed and led by that at half time.

The score was doubled through Sergio Azagane in the 48th minute. The Lions hit back in the 85th minute to get back into the game,

United was able to hold on, winning 2-1.

The Ranges proved too strong for the Manningham United Blues.

The Blues were soon leading 2-0 after 15 minutes. The Ranges got on back right on half time, before a penalty was converted by Joe Coveney levelled the scores.

Another penalty went the Ranges way with Anton Nardella to give his side the lead.

The Ranges managed to hold on to get a 3-2 win.

Meanwhile, Hume City had no troubles against Doncaster Rovers.

Hume got on board in the sixth minute and doubled the lead six minutes later, before the Rovers hit back a couple of minutes later.

Hume regained the lead in the 19th minute, with another one shortly after and a fifth before half time.

Having taken control of the game, Hume cemented the win with another two goals. The Rovers scored a late one, to make the score 7-2.

The three teams join Upfield in the next round.
