Western Athletics (WES) speedster Luke Stevens won the men’s open 200 metres on Saturday as the AV Shield show moved to Aberfeldie for the second round.
There was a one-two finish for WES in the men’s open 800 metres, with Chris Downie and Daniel Bunworth showing form.
The first two spots on the podium in the women’s 40+ 800 metres were occupied by WES winner Mechelle Lane and Heather Ruth Kennedy.
Lane ran second to teammate Carolyn Huell in the women’s 40+ 5000 metres. A host of under-age athletes won their events for WES.
