Doreen couple land $1.3 million TattsLotto win

A Doreen couple’s life has been changed after cashing in on the weekend’s TattsLotto draw with the same lottery numbers they’ve played for more than three decades.

The couple held one of the four division one winning entries drawn Saturday, March 4, taking home a total division one prize of $1,335,594.34.

With $1.3 million more in the bank, the Victorian couple have shared how they plan to spend their winnings, including paying off the mortgage, holidaying in Fiji and buying a new car.

“We’ve barely had any sleep. It’s life changing,” the winning man said.

“I discovered the win when I checked my emails on Sunday morning while having a coffee.

“I thought it was bizarre when I received an email from The Lott to check my entry in-store.

“I rushed to the local news agency, and the team member gave me the winning numbers.

“I’ve been playing the same lottery numbers since I was 18, and now I’m in my 40s,” he said.

The couple’s winning entry was purchased at Laurimar News & Lotto in Doreen.

It comes as the second division one win sold at Laurimar News & Lotto. Last week a Doreen dad won $1.3 million in Saturday’s draw from his ticket purchased at Laurimar News & Lotto.

Laurimar News & Lotto owner Qin Chen said she was shocked to have sold another division one winning entry for a second week in a row.

“Our customers and local community will be over the moon to hear another local family have become millionaires after purchasing a ticket from our outlet,” she said.

“Congratulations to the young family and we couldn’t be happier for you. We hope the prize goes a long way.”
