Local students are set to showcase their art works at the ‘Train of Thought’ art exhibition featured at the Gee Lee-Wik Doleen Gallery in Craigieburn.
Students from Hume Anglican Grammar, across year 7 to VCE, will have their art displayed at the Hume Global Learning Centre until Saturday, April 23.
The exhibition celebrates work from students such as Hume Anglican Grammar’s 2022 visual Arts leader, Shraddha.
“Art should not be perceived as singular collections of strokes that build a masterpiece, but as a practice and behavior of creativity and innovation that conceives into the world glorious and revolutionary ideas,” Shraddha said.
Featuring works from 22 current and former students in the studies of art, media, and visual communication design, the exhibition has collaborated across both the Donnybrook and Mt Ridley campuses.
The artworks explore a range of themes including identity. culture, diversity, health, the environment and sustainability.
Visual arts subject co-ordinator Sarah Lang said the school is extremely grateful to Hume council and Gee-Lee Wik Gallery for this opportunity.
“Exhibiting at the Gee-Lee Wik gallery is a wonderful opportunity for our Secondary Art, Media & Visual Communication students to exhibit in a professional gallery space and share their creative works with the local community,” she said.
