The Whittlesea council will celebrate this International Women’s Day by hosting a live discussion panel with two local women sharing their inspiring leadership stories.

Women of Whittlesea – Inspiring stories and candid conversations will be hosted by Kim Stadtmiller from the Hume Whittlesea Local Learning and Employment Network on Wednesday, March 8.

This free event will hear from panellists Bobby Lama and Özge Sevindik-Alkan as they share their journey to becoming leaders and how they have built a supportive community through finding a common passion.

Whittlesea administrator Peita Duncan said that this event will be a celebration of the achievements of women, featuring the inspirational journey of two local women.

“I am very excited to hear Bobby and Özge’s stories…who have taken it upon themselves to build a community that provides support and empowerment to others by following their passions,” she said.

Women of Whittlesea – Inspiring stories and candid conversations is from 10am at the Whittlesea Civic Centre, 25 Ferres Boulevard, South Morang.
