Whittlesea residents are invited to drop in for a chat with council ahead of the first meeting of the year on Tuesday, February 21.
Residents will be able to enjoy a free coffee, a sausage sizzle, and music from the Whittlesea Choir.
Chair administrator Lydia Wilson said council was committed to talking with the community about their priorities.
“We have regular Coffee with Council sessions and engagement on a range of projects and activities throughout the year,” she said.
“It’s important that council provide opportunities like these for our community to come along and discuss what is going on in the City of Whittlesea.
“We also want to make sure council meetings are available in different locations to make it easier for our community attend.”
Ms Wilson said she invites the community to join in the event at the Whittlesea Community Centre.
Locals can chat with administrators and council staff about a range of issues prior to the meeting including, cat confinement and desexing, local laws consultation, the Whittlesea skate park and BMX track, and the Whittlesea park masterplan.
The event starts at 6.15pm at the Whittlesea Community Activity Centre, 57-61 Laurel Street, Whittlesea.
The council meeting will follow at 7.30pm where council will consider a range of matters including a new Green Wedge Management Plan.
