Local families can learn all about nature and the environment at Whittlesea’s Community Environment Festival.
With a host of interactive nature-based activities and science experiments to wow curious little minds, this event is designed for kids of all ages and their families.
Highlights include a wildlife show by Animals of Oz as well as hands on craft with Eco Explorers.
In addition to the many activities on offer, there will also be a range of stalls for families to wander through and learn more about the environment and the little things every one in the community can do to help protect it.
There will also be a ninja course for the energetic members of the family, and for the more laid back nature lovers there will be an opportunity to get up close and personal in a live butterfly display.
The Whittlesea District Scouts will keep buddying explorers well feed with a sausage sizzle stall.
This free event will be held on Sunday, February 5 from 11am to 3pm at Orchard Road Community Centre, 121 Orchard Road, Doreen.
