Meadow Heights boy charged

Police have arrested eight young people in relation to a series of alleged aggravated home invasions over the past few days.

Police observed two stolen vehicles, which were allegedly involved in several aggravated home invasions, and allegedly driving erratically in Wyndham Vale about 6pm, Tuesday.

Police located seven people inside a house on Stream Road who were subsequently arrested.

A 16-year-old Meadow Heights boy was charged with theft of motor vehicle and bail offences.

A 14-year-old Point Cook boy has been charged with theft of motor vehicle and liquor thefts, a 16-year-old Wyndham Vale boy was charged with aggravated home invasion, theft of motor vehicle and shop thefts and a 16-year-old Point Cook boy was charged with aggravated home invasion, aggravated burglary and theft of motor vehicle.

They will all appear at a children’s court at a later date.

A 19-year-old Truganina man was charged with aggravated burglary, theft of motor vehicle and liquor thefts and will appear in court December 7, and a 16-year-old Truganina man and a 16-year-old Point Cook man were released pending further enquiries.

Police say they also seized a Jeep and Camry for forensic examination.

The vehicles are alleged to be linked to an armed robbery in Williams Landing on December 4, an aggravated home invasion in Point Cook, and Brookfield on December 5, an aggravated burglary in Williams Landing on December 5, the thefts of a motor vehicles in Williams Landing on December 1, and in Tarneit December 4.

Police also arrested a 14-year-old Tarneit boy on December 5 in relation to the alleged aggravated burglary in Williams Landing on December 4, he was remanded in custody to appear at a children’s court at a later date.
