Citybound lanes of the Hume Freeway, Epping are set to close due to a bogged truck near O’Herns Road. The truck is also leaking diesel.

The Department of Transport

said an excavator is required to free the truck and a significant clean up is required to deal with the diesel.

The closure will be implemented when equipment arrives on scene.

Inbound lanes will close at Sydney Road. Motorists should continue their trip towards the city along Sydney Road, allowing extra time for their journey.

All outbound lanes remain open. Motorists can still enter citybound lanes of the Hume Freeway from O’Herns Road and Cooper Street.

Lanes will re-open when the truck is free and the diesel spill has been contained.
