Mickleham man charged over fatal shooting

A 24-year-old Mickleham man has been charged with murder and home invasion following the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old Kalkallo man last month.

The man was found deceased at the scene when police arrived and believe the parties involved are known to each other.

Police executed six search warrants in Mickleham, Keilor, Craigieburn and Wallan on Monday, October 10.

A 31-year-old Wallan man was also charged with murder and home invasion.

A 25-year-old Wallan man and 19-year-old were also charged with home invasion and will face Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

A 22-year-old Wallan man and 22-year-old Keilor woman have been released pending further inquiries.

The incident occurred on Oodgeroo Road in Kalkallo on September 21.
