Construction commences at Thomastown parkside community, Marran Run

YourLand Developments celebrated its premier parkside community, Marran Run, with a recent sod-turning ceremony. Celebrating next month’s official commencement of construction, the event was attended by existing purchasers, would-be purchasers, and YourLand Developments senior management.

The event was well attended, with purchasers meeting each other for the first time and sharing their excitement for the new neighbourhood taking shape. They were joined by a raft of potential new neighbours, who snapped up blocks and townhomes released to the market for the first time on the day.

YourLand Developments’ Chief Operating Officer, Dean Gold said the commencement of construction at Marran Run marks an important milestone for a project that is a hidden gem in the established suburb of Thomastown.

“With construction of Marran Run now underway, people are discovering what Thomastown locals have known for generations,” said Mr Gold.

“This is one of Melbourne’s most welcoming suburbs, with strong bonds of community and a vibrant social character. You have

the benefit of an established and amenity-rich area that’s superbly connected by road, rail, and public transport plus this unique parkside aspect that Marran Run is blessed with.”

Tucked away on Barry Road between the expansive Whittlesea Public Gardens and the RCG Cook Reserve, Marran Run residents will have their pick of recreational activities on their doorstep. A multi-million-dollar City of Whittlesea upgrade of the Whittlesea Public Gardens will see new playgrounds, skate park, rock climbing, picnic areas, outdoor fitness equipment, basketball courts, cycling paths and wetlands delivered over the next few years.

“It’s rare to find parkside infill location of this scale so close to the city,” said Mr Gold.

“We’re seeing strong interest from locals looking to upgrade to a brand-new home while staying close to their established community as well from people in the inner north looking to move out to find more space for children and family.”

Land is now selling at Marran Run with prices starting from $489,000* and stylish new townhomes by Nostra available from $699,900*. For more information, contact Van Ritchie on 0499 679 099.
