Teens arrested after driving car on train track in Thomastown

Four teenagers have been charged after an allegedly stolen car was driven on a train track in Thomastown on Sunday.

Lalor have all been charged with aggravated home invasion, armed robbery, theft of a motor vehicle and weapon and deception offences, according to police.

It is alleged a man had been threatened before the teens allegedly stole his wallet in the vicinity of Johnson Street and Lloyd Avenue about 5.20pm on Sunday.

As police responded, an allegedly stolen car was seen turning from High Street onto the train tracks.

The car came to a stop and the occupants of the vehicle were arrested.

Police searched the vehicle and allegedly uncovered a number of weapons.

The four teenagers will appear at a children’s court at a later date.
