Westmeadows is back on the winners list in Essendon District Football League division 1.

After three straight losses, the Tigers were able to find some form against an undermanned Sunbury Kangaroos under lights on Saturday night.

After going goal for goal early in the first quarter, the Tigers kicked the last three goals of the quarter to open up a 16-point lead.

They were able to extend the margin to 35 points in the second quarter. The margin held steady in the third quarter, before the Tigers blew the margin out in the last quarter.

Seven goals to three in the last quarter, sealed the 20.17 (137)-11.9 (75) win.

Omar Saad kicked five goals, while Jayden Ranno and Clayton Campbell kicked three goals each.

Ahmed Abdul-Wahed and Cody Wright were named the Tigers best.

Tullamarine and Roxburgh Park were also on the winners list as well on Saturday.

The Demons remain undefeated after a hard fought win against Rupertswood.

The Sharks were full of confidence after three straight wins and pushed the Demons all the way.

A four goal to nil third quarter was the difference for the Demons in the 10.7 (67)-8.10 (58) win.

Shaun McKernan continued his good form, kicking five goals. Jonathan Hardman was named the Demons best.

An inaccurate Roxburgh Park accounted for Moonee Valley.

The Magpies led throughout, but could have won by a lot more if they were able to convert.

Leading by 16 points at the main break, the Magpies kicked 3.11 in the second half.

It was still enough, as they won 9.17 (71)-7.7 (49).

Jamie Grant was the only multiple goal kicker for the Magpies with two.

Brock Mclarty was named the Magpies best.

The Magpies now sit third on the ladder.

Cragieburn wasn’t able to make it two in a row, losing to Hillside.

The Sharks got off to a good start, keeping the Eagles score less in the first quarter.

In premier division, Greenvale returned to the winners list against Essendon Doutta Stars.

It was the case of the accurate versus the inaccurate.

Addam Maric got three goals for the winners, while Jacob Thompson kicked two.
