The city of Whittlesea is inviting residents to share their ideas for future improvements to Lowalde Recreation Reserve in Epping.
Community feedback will help shape council’s plans for the reserve, which will bring about both short and long-term improvements, including potential new sports and playground equipment, lighting upgrades, and picnic and barbecue areas.
City of Whittlesea Chair Administrator Lydia Wilson said the upgrades to Lowalde Recreation Reserve will feature something for everyone.
“We’re planning real and meaningful improvements at Lowalde Recreation Reserve that reflect the current and future needs of the local community,” Ms Wilson said.
“I encourage residents to join the conversation and let us know what features or updates would support their social, health and wellbeing goals.”
Community drop-in sessions will be held at Lowalde Recreation Reserve on Tuesday, May 24 from 2-4pm and Thursday, May 26 from 8-10.30am to share your ideas in-person with council staff.
To share your feedback online visit www.engage.whittlesea.vic.gov.au/lowalde. Submissions close Sunday, May 29.
The implementation of the master plan actions is expected to start late-2023.
