Hume still without a win

Hume City remains without a win in the National Premier League competition.

Under new coach Petr Tichy, Hume found themselves in trouble early on against Heidelberg United.

Heidelberg scored three times in the first half to take control o the game.

Hume scored the only goal of the second half through Alex Walter, it was too little too late as Hume lost 3-1.

The Melbourne Knights came away with a dominant 3-0 win over Eastern Lions.

Playing at home, the Knights didn’t find the back of the net until the 80th minute through Lionel Masudi.

After the opening goal, they went on to score another two in the proceeding 10 minutes to seal the win.

On Saturday afternoon, St Albans and Green Gully faced off at Churchill Reserve where the match finished 1-1, with Saints forward Zander Guy scoring the equaliser just before half-time to level scores.

In NPL division 3, Whittlesea Ranges picked up a solid 2-1 win against the Geelong Ranges.

The Ranges led 1-0 at half time, before winning 2-1.

In other matches, Western United kicked off the fifth round with a 2-2 draw to Springvale at home in Caroline Springs

Down the road at Larissa Reserve, the home of North Sunshine, the Eagles fell short in a 2-0 loss to Melbourne City.
