Craigieburn/Mickleham Road intersection to reopen earlier than expected

The intersection of Craigieburn and Mickleham roads will reopen on Friday night – more than one week ahead of schedule.

Major Roads Projects Victoria announced on Thursday that the intersection would reopen to motorists at 10pm on Friday, April 1.

The works had been scheduled to wrap up on Monday, April 11.

New lights have been installed, as well as an additional lane on each approach, including a left slip lane from Craigieburn Road to Mickleham Road.

The intersection was closed to motorists on February 13 to enable crews to work around-the-clock to remove the existing roundabout.

Over coming months, crews will continue working at the intersection to complete the remaining sections including building remaining lanes, finishing utility relocation and connections, and other associated works.
