Residents of Whittlesea now have the chance to sit down and have a coffee with council members as part of a new program, Coffee with Council.
A number of representatives will take part in the initiative including Chair Administrator Lydia Wilson, Administrators Peita Duncan and Chris Eddy, CEO Craig Lloyd and senior members of staff.
The informal drop-in sessions will be held at coffee shops around the municipality to provide community members
the opportunity to talk about issues that are important to them.
Chair Administrator Lydia Wilson said the program was a chance for residents to have their voices heard by council members.
“While we are often out and about at official events, Coffee with Council is an informal opportunity for us to take the time to pause and to listen to our community, and what better way to do that than over a hot or cold drink,” she said.
“We would like to invite people to drop-in and have a chat with us about what’s important to them in the City of Whittlesea and to share their ideas and aspirations.”
