A number of major disruptions are expected for roads in Melbourne’s north as the state government continues construction works.
The M80 Ring Road will be closed in both directions overnight between Sydney Road and Edgars Road from 10pm Saturday, March 26 to 8am Sunday, March 27.
Nightly closures will occur from 10pm to 5am Sunday, March 27 to Thursday, March 31.
Detours will be in place via the Hume Highway, Cooper Street, Edgars Road and Mahoneys Road.
The intersection of Craigieburn Road and Mickleham Road is closed to all traffic until 5am Monday, April 11.
The existing roundabout will be replaced by traffic lights and there will be additional lanes added.
Detours are available via Aitken Boulevard, Mt Ridley Road, Somerton Road and the Hume Highway.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and to allow up to 20 minutes extra travel time during peak periods.
