Mernda police are appealing for information following a collision on Bridge Inn Road late last month.
Police said the incident occurred on Bridge Inn Road, east of Schotters Road, near the roadworks, about 5.45pm on Sunday, February 20.
It is alleged that a silver Mercedes ML270 SUV travelling east along Bridge Inn Road, collided with the rear of another vehicle travelling in the same direction, causing that vehicle to lose control and spin off the road.
The Mercedes driver did not stop and drove off erratically, police said.
Police are urging anyone with dash cam footage, or information which may assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Constable Dalati at Mernda Police Station on 9216 1200.
