Buses will replaces trains on sections of the Craigieburn and Mernda this weekend.
As part of level crossing removal works, buses will be running between Craigieburn and Essendon stations from 9pm on Friday until the last service on Sunday.
The Department of Transport said buses will also run between Mernda and Clifton Hill stations from 7.40pm on Friday until the last service on Sunday.
