Craigieburn Festival returns in March

Craigieburn Anzac Park will be a hive of activity on March 5 when the Craigieburn Festival returns to the park after the pandemic resulted in the cancellation of last year’s event.

The popular festival will kick-off at noon and will feature live entertainment, food trucks, free interactive play spaces and activities, children’s carnival rides and performances from local and acclaimed artists and musicians.

Festival-goers will also be able to try their hand at a range of sports and games in the active zone, visit the petting zoo or the fun reptile encounter, and explore artwork as part of the Craigieburn Art Show at the Hume Global Learning Centre.

The festival will finish with a big bang, with fireworks set to conclude the event at 9pm.

Hume mayor Carly Moore said: “As a lifetime Craigieburn resident, I know how much this festival means to the community and we are so excited to be able to bring it back this year.

“The past two years have been difficult for our community and the Craigieburn Festival at Anzac Park is the perfect place to reconnect with neighbours and friends.

“Anyone attending the Craigieburn Festival this year can expect an amazing day, jam-packed with fun festivities.”

Council will be releasing more details in the lead up to the festival.
