The Northern Community Legal Centre (NCLC) has launched an online tool to streamline access to legal advice.
NCLC aims to ensure equal access to justice for all in Melbourne’s northwest, including in the Hume council area.
The new tool, Legal Connector, asks a range of questions regarding legal needs and personal circumstances to ensure “a legal response that is appropriate and informed”.
“The Legal Connector can be used by any person living or working in the local government areas of Hume, Moreland and Mitchell who requires legal advice,” NCLC said.
“The Legal Connector can only be completed by the person requiring legal support.”
According to NCLC, the tool is available in English with other language speakers encouraged to contact the centre directly for advice.
“The information provided when completing the tool will be reviewed by our admin team who will make contact within three working days using the preferred method of communication,” NCLC said.
“Where possible an appointment will be made with an NCLC lawyer, or alternatively referrals will be provided to another service that can assist.
“All information provided is confidential and stored securely.
“The information will only be shared with the lawyer providing legal advice.”
The Legal Connector tool is available for use on the NCLC website.
