Mernda train line resumed

Trains are resuming on the Mernda train line between Parliament and Clifton Hill, following an equipment fault earlier today.

The Department of Transport Passengers said passengers are advised to allow up to 15 minutes extra for their journey as trains get back into position for the normal timetable.

The department said it thanked passengers for their patience as crews worked to resolve the issue.
