Hume council will elect a new mayor and deputy mayor tonight.
A special council meeting will be held from 7pm Wednesday, November 3.
Councillors will vote on which of them will take up the leading positions at council for the next 12 months.
Mayor Joseph Haweil and Deputy Mayor Jack Medcraft will be ending their terms tonight.
