Police warn of new COVID vaccine reward scam

There is a new text message scam targeting Victorians, promising a one time payment of $750 for getting vaccinated.

Hume police have issued a warning on the Eyewatch Facebook page to be aware of the message.

Clicking on a link in the text will redirect the victim to a website impersonating ServicesGovAU, designed to steal your personal information and bank details.

This is one of the latest in a string of COVID-related scams the state has seen since the start of the pandemic, police said.
