Two pop-up vaccination hubs have opened in Hume as the municipality once again records the Melbourne’s largest increase in people receiving the first dose of a COVID vaccine.
New health department data shows that for the fourth week in a row, Hume recorded the largest first dose change across all local government areas in metropolitan Melbourne.
As of Sunday, 86.3 per cent of eligible Hume residents had received the first dose of a vaccine, an increase of 5.6 per cent.
The municipality’s second dose vaccination rate rose to 48.4 per cent, increase of 8.3 per cent.
In Whittlesea, 83.3 per cent of eligible residents have received one dose while 49.9 per cent are fully vaccinated.
A pop-up vaccination clinic opened at the Craigieburn Sports Stadium this morning, in partnership with the Islamic Council of Victoria and Muslim Health Professionals Australia.
The clinic will operate 8.30am-4.30pm today and tomorrow, with Pfizer vaccines available. Bookings are required via bit.ly/2ZNqlKc.
A second pop-up clinic will open at Meadow Heights Community Centre at 10.30am. Walk-in appointments for Pfizer and AstraZenca jabs will be available from 10.30am-6pm today, tomorrow and Thursday.
