Update: Craigieburn Central is closed following the identification of the site as a tier two COVID-19 exposure site.

A positive case attended the venue on Sunday, May 23 between 10am and 1.30pm, as well as on Wednesday, May 26 between 9am and 11.45am, and again between 7pm and 9.05pm.

Anyone who attended the venue during the listed dates and times is required to get tested urgently and isolate until they receive a negative result.

The exposure site listing comes after the health department encouraged anyone who has visited the centre in the last two weeks to get tested, even if asymptomatic.

Centre manager Christine McDonnell said: “Keeping our community safe is our top priority and we take this very seriously.

“Based on the Department of Health and Human Services confirming that they are investigating cases of COVID-19 at the centre, the centre has been temporarily closed.

“This is to enable the contact tracing and a deep clean of the centre.

“We look forward to safely reopening to our loyal customers soon and continuing to support our local community.”
