Mill Park house fire under investigation

The cause of a fire at a Mill Park house on Saturday morning is under investigation.

Firefighters were called to the Pindari Avenue house after a caller to triple-0 reported hearing a loud bang and seeing a fire at the property about 4am.

More than 25 Fire Rescue Victoria firefighters responded to the blaze.

Crews arrived on the scene to find the back of the single-storey brick veneer property alight.

Firefighters searched the house and found that no one was home at the time of the fire.

The house sustained significant damage in the blaze.
