Police have released dash cam and CCTV footage as part of an ongoing investigation into a drive by shooting in Dallas last year.

According to Echo Taskforce detectives, three men were outside an address on Washington Street when a stolen black Mitsubishi ASX approached them at about 7pm on Tuesday, October 27.

An unknown male passenger in the vehicle discharged a firearm at the group before the Mitsubishi fled the scene.

No one was injured as a result of the shooting.

Police located the vehicle after it was set alight in Thomastown East Reserve later the same evening.

Police are keen to identify a female witness who can be seen walking along Doy Street as the incident occurred.

Police have also released CCTV footage of a vehicle, believed to be a silver coloured Mazda 3, that was seen entering and leaving Thomastown East Reserve shortly before and after the black vehicle was set on fire.

It is believed the Mazda may have sustained damage to its front and undercarriage when fleeing the scene.
