Country Club life with village charm

Melba Vale Country Club in Coolaroo, part of the Country Club Living group, continues to thrive as a popular place for independent over-55s and retirees, says village manager Gregory Nicholls.

Country Club Living, one of the largest family-owned retirement village businesses in Australia, is well known for providing quality retirement communities.

“The Melba Vale community, visitors and residents are delighted by the bright and happy atmosphere,” Gregory says. “They can embrace life and live their retirement just the way they want.”

Tony, a resident at Melba Vale Country Club, shares his story.

“My wife and I moved into the village from Roxburgh Park. I was still working but wanted to downsize and live in a gated safe community. We can now travel and not worry about upkeep/security – even our mail is collected when we are away.

“We enjoy the barbecues and happy hours, and having our own bar and pool table. We’ve made great friends and enjoy all of the social events – like playing bowls and movie nights when we choose.

“Our family is thrilled with the beautiful units and love to visit as we have great-sized bedrooms and living area – as well as the community facilities.”

Melba Vale facilities include a magnificent Community Centre that houses a hairdressing salon, library, pool table, club bar, theatre room and consulting room. Other facilities include a gym and an outdoor bowls rink.

The village, staffed with on-site management, has a 24-hour emergency call system. There’s also a bus to take residents on shopping and social outings.

Gregory says he welcomes inspections, 10am-4pm Monday-Friday, or by private appointment.

“Come and have a chat and cuppa with me and discover the amazing lifestyle on offer. What are you waiting for?”
