Greencross Vets are still open in stage four lockdown to keep your furry friends fit and healthy.
While many businesses have been forced to close, vets are classified as an essential service, with residents able to travel outside their five kilometre radius to visit them.
Craigieburn Greencross Vets’ Dr Ash Pathania said he wanted to reassure clients that they could still access care for their pets.
“People are really stressed about the pandemic and having to look after their pets as well,” he said.
“A lot have thought that we aren’t open to rely on for medicines and have gone to Google. We’re still considered caregiving and medical.”
All Greencross Vets including Craigieburn, Plenty Valley and South Morang have all become contactless to protect both the vets and the pet owners.
“They give us a call from the car park,” Dr Pathania said.
“We have a phone consultation and once we’ve had the chat the patient will be collected at the door
“Once done with the exam, we call the owner back and relay everything and agree on a plan.”
Dr Pathania said anyone had any concerns about their pets should give their vet a call. or use WebVet, available on the Greencross website.
