A large quantity of money has been found among the rubble at a recycling depot in Whittlesea.
The money was found by a worker at the depot in Greystone Court, Epping on April 21.
Police said the depot received rubbish from all over Melbourne daily, meaning the money could have been picked up anywhere.
They have not revealed how much money was found.
Police are urging anyone who thinks the money is theirs – and can prove it – to contact Mill Park police station.
Police said anyone claiming the cash will need to show invoices, bank statements or exact denominations to prove the money belongs to them.
