Six years of singing and dancing have paid off for Isobel Lauber, with the Doreen youngster recently scoring a part in the new musical, Shrek.
The Yarrambat Primary School pupil is one of four girls sharing the part of young princess Fiona in the stage show, which opens in Melbourne this weekend.
Isobel, 9, said she was excited to have scored a part in Shrek.
“I can’t wait to get started,” she said.
“I’m looking forward to having the experience of being on a live stage and in front of a big audience.”
Isobel began dancing at three-years-old and currently attends Bev Palmer Performing Arts.
“I love being able to perform and to dance, I’ve got a passion for it. Musical theatre is something I am interested in,” she said.
Shrek is at Her Majesty’s Theatre from Sunday.
