T20 champs Bundoora United away to a flier

Reigning premier Bundoora United started its Northern Region T20 defence in style with victory against Preston YCW District last week.

The competition pits teams from the North Metro and Diamond Valley cricket associations against each other.

United made 5-177 off its 20 overs and restricted Preston YCW District to 6-147.

Elsewhere, South Morang couldn’t match Keon Park’s 3-149, being dismissed for 107.

Mill Park’s bowlers made easy work of Donath’s batting line-up, bowling them out for 58 then easily chasing down the target to finish at 5-62.

Lalor Warriors came out on top of Lalor Stars, making 9-151 then bowling out the Stars for 124.

Bundoora also started with a win, making 4-172 then bowling out Darebin Chargers for 139.
