UPDATE: The carols will now be held at the Mill Park Baptist Church because of heavy rain forecast for Thursday and Friday.

Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.

The church is at 11 Morang Drive.

It’s time to dig out your Santa hat and warm up your carolling voice for Whittlesea’s Carols by Candlelight this Friday.

The annual carols event has a new home this year – the terrace lawns at the civic centre in South Morang. Whittlesea council said it was time to relocate the event, which had outgrown its home at Redleap Reserve in Mill Park.

The event will include carol singing and entertainment by the Community Carols Choir and Diamond Valley Brass Band. There will also be kids’ entertainment, local artists selling handmade gifts, a barbecue by Infinity Church and a visit from Santa.

Visitors are being encouraged to leave their cars at home and catch public transport to the event.

The carols will be on Friday, December 14, from 7-10pm.
