Bundoora will kick off the Northern Football League men’s action next season.
In the fixture released last week, it was revealed that the Bulls will face Northcote Park on April 5 under lights at Bill Lawry Oval as the first match of the season, before the rest of division 1 starting the following day.
It will be a big weekend for the league, with all three men’s divisions kicking off.
Among the other highlights of the fixture includeone Good Friday clash and five Anzac Day matches.
Greensborough will host Lower Plenty on Good Friday in the only match to be played across the Easter weekend.
There will be Anzac Day matches across the three grades, including Diamond Creek and Epping, and Thomastown and Fitzroy Stars in division 2 and Laurimar and Mernda in division 3.
Division 1 and 2 will have a bye on May 18, due to the 2019 AFL Victoria Community Championships which are held on the same weekend.
The NFL will play Geelong Football League for the number one ranking.
Whittlesea in its return to division 1 after beating relegated will start its season against Epping.
Eltham Collegians, who will play in division 3, will make its NFL debut at home against Panton Hill.
Like in previous years, the three grand finals will be held over three weekends, starting with the division 3 grand final on September 7 and finishing with the division 1 grand final on September 21.
The women’s fixtures will be released early next year.
