Lalor Gardens Primary School will be upgraded, thanks to a multi-million grant from the state government.

Thomastown MP Bronwyn Halfpenny visited the Kingsway Drive school last week to announce that it would received $4.2 million to be used to build a music room and hall and gymnasium featuring netball and basketball courts.

Architects and builders have already been appointed for the project, with work to begin soon.

“I feel very proud to have worked with school parents, students, teachers and principal Anne Hulett to secure funding for the school hall and gymnasium,” Ms Halfpenny said.

“Lalor Gardens Primary School was built less than 10 years ago and the school hall is the icing on the cake. It will be a great facility for students as well as the local community.”
