Bundoora United’s season has come to end at the hands of Plenty Power in the Diamond Valley Cricket Association Money Shield semi finals.

Having come from nowhere to get a finals spot, the Bulldogs were hoping to continue their winning against the Power, the best team all season.

The Bulldogs started well getting to 31 without loss, before the wickets started to fall.

From there the Bulldogs lost frequent wickets and were eventually bowled out for 162 with 15 balls remaining.

Skipper Mathew Ross top scored with 41, as several other players got starts.

The Bulldogs needed early wickets and they got that, to have the Power in trouble at 2-15.

But like they have all season, the Power settled and started to build an innings.

They lost just two more wickets, as they finished 4-164.

Scott Barnett and Ashley Hamilton took two wickets each for the Bulldogs.

The Power face Heidelberg in the grand final.

Heidelberg defeated Banyule quite easily. Heidelberg made 8-213 with Banyule managing 115 in reply.

In the Barclay Shield, the top two sides will face off in the grand final.

Riverside accounted for Diamond Creek.

Riverside made 9-193 from its overs with Steven Villani making 50.

They then restricted Diamond Creek to 160, with skipper Nick Austin taking four wickets.

Riverside will face Macleod in the grand final, after Macleod beat Montmorency.

Macleod made an imposing 293 from its overs on the back of 144 from Richard Johnson.

Montmorency never got close, bowled out for 155.
