Explore a kaleidoscope of culture when the Pacific arts community comes together for a night of vibrant creativity in Footscray this Friday.
KOKO KALApU will feature an eclectic line-up of spoken word and visual artists, singers and dancers from the Pacific arts community.
Art, music, performance and community will all come together at Footscray Community Arts Centre in a bid to answer the question: How does the “new aged savage” connect in concrete worlds?
Artists taking part in the event will include Grace Vanilau, Daisy Catterall, Kalala, New Wayfinders, Nuholani and Rolly Loughlin, alongside Asalemo Tofete, Te Rarangi Gussy Paikea, Irihipeti Waretini and many more.
KOKO KALApU will take place at FCAC this Friday, February 16, with drinks from 6-7pm, performances from 7-8pm and a DJ from 8-10pm. Tickets cost $10 pre-sale or $15, if any remain, at the door.
