NAIDOC Week

Take part in NAIDOC Week in Brimbank by attending a flag-raising ceremony and community celebration. Celebrations will include a smoking ceremony and welcome to country, followed by the flag raising. There will a free barbecue, craft activities for kids and entertainment from Melbourne-based Aboriginal singer songwriter Robert K Champion. On Tuesday, July 4, from 11am at 301 Hampshire Road, Sunshine.

Business stress

A workshop designed to deal with common stresses of running a business will equip participants with the tools and strategies, including dealing with the biggest mistakes, keys to financial success and implementing change. Taylors Creek working bee

Help keep the Taylors Creek wildflower display gardens in great condition and learn how to grow local native plants in your own garden. Join workers for a warming cup of tea afterwards. Bring gardening gloves, water bottle and sturdy shoes. On Wednesday, July 5, 10am-noon at Taylors Creek Wildflower Garden, 53A Rutherglen Way, Taylors Lakes.

Holiday swimming

A winter school holidays swimming program for adults and children over three years old costs $78 for a five-day program. The second week of the program starts on Monday, July 10, at 9am Sunshine Leisure Centre.
