Join the San Donato Association of Lalor to celebrate La Festa di San Donato, 1.30-6pm on Sunday, August 7, at St Luke’s church Lalor. Celebration of the anniversary of the death of medieval saint San Donato includes a mass, a procession and opera performances.

Yoga for beginners

Ghost tour

Uncover the secrets of Whittlesea’s haunted past during a ghost tour organised by Yarra Plenty Regional Library on Friday, August 12. The bus trip will start at Mill Park library, 394 Plenty Road, Mill Park, at 8pm, visiting spooky sites around the municipality before returning to the library at 10pm. The tour is not recommended for children; bookings essential.

Climb your family tree

Learn how to find your ancestors through the Victorian Public Record Office during a national family history month presentation at Craigieburn library, 75-95 Central Park Avenue, Craigieburn, on Tuesday, August 23, 10am-noon. The presentation will be led by the Genealogy Society of Victoria’s Joy Roy.

Join the storm chasers

The Victorian Storm Chasers team will visit Mill Park library on Wednesday, August 17 from 7-8pm to celebrate Science Week. The chasers will share stories of their adventures chasing nature at its fiercest around the world, and discuss science and technology.
